What is a Curriculum Pack?

PlanBee's Curriculum Packs contain a series of carefully planned schemes of work, arranged from Year 1 to Year 6 to ensure continuity and progression across the subject.

In every Curriculum Pack, each scheme of work comes fully prepared and ready-to-teach, meaning that ALL your planning for your whole school is taken care of. That's detailed lesson plans, slideshows for the teaching input, differentiated activities and resources which offer a range of access points for your learners, for every single lesson across the whole year for the given subject.

Each Curriculum Pack comes with free additional documentation to help make planning and implementing your curriculum a breeze, including clear National Curriculum objective coverage, medium term overviews for each scheme of work, knowledge and skills progression documents and resource lists where necessary. Our Primary Maths Curriculum Pack is a comprehensive and ready-to-teach Maths curriculum that covers all the Maths National Curriculum objectives from Year 1 to Year 6.

In KS1, there are twelve ready-to-teach schemes of work per term per year group, and ten schemes of work per term per year group for KS2 (leaving a little more time for revision and consolidation). This means that there is no need for your teaching staff to spend hours each week planning their Maths lessons; it is all ready for them to either pick up and teach or adapt to the needs of their class.

Within each year group there is clear knowledge and skills progression as children work through each scheme of work and each strand of learning. National Curriculum objectives are fully covered (as documented in the free overview) meaning that you can provide your staff with a consistent and coherent Maths curriculum, safe in the knowledge that you are covering everything you need to cover.

Primary Maths Curriculum for KS1 and KS2

Within each Maths scheme of work (which is always 5 lessons to cover a week of Maths teaching) is a set of slides to guide you and your class through the teaching input, always with plenty of opportunity for engagement, interaction and skills practise. There is then a selection of differentiated activities for children to tackle during their independent learning, as well as a 'Fancy Something Different...?' activity, which is often more investigation-led, group-led or practical. The lesson is then finished off with a plenary to bring the class back together and consolidate their learning, either through a game, a question, a puzzle, discussion point or other fun activity.

Our Education for Social Responsibility (ESR) Curriculum Pack provides a series of short three-lesson schemes of work to teach children how to live happy, responsible lives and to prepare them for a future in an uncertain world. It covers seven key strands that are each explored and revisited across each phase: climate change; ethical trade, ecosystems, finite planet; fulfilled lives; water scarcity; and biodiversity.

Perfect as part of your PSHE provision, this ESR Curriculum Pack provides everything you need to teach these valuable and important lessons.

ESR Curriculum Pack Schemes of Work:

Our RE Curriculum Pack contains 36 fully planned and prepared schemes of work; 6 per year group from Year 1 to Year 6, meaning you have one scheme of work for each year group for each half term. Our RE curriculum has been designed to ensure coverage of the main world religions, as well as themes such identity, faith and belonging.

We often get asked if our RE curriculum pack aligns with the RE outline of a particular LEA or other provider. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee this because of the sheer number of regional RE providers, but our RE lessons have been designed to be as broad and balanced as possible, meaning that you can be sure that all the religions and themes you would expect to be covered are covered.

Our RE lessons not only teach children about religions around the world but also challenge children to consider their own faith and beliefs, and to learn about faith in their school and local community.

RE Curriculum Pack Schemes of Work:

Our RE Curriculum Pack is available to purchase as a Whole School option, as a KS1 pack or as a KS2 pack.

We also provide a condensed version of our RE Curriculum Pack. This option contains three schemes of work per year group instead of six, one for each term from Year 1 to Year 6. This option is perfect for schools with a more limited timetable.

Despite being half the size, this condensed pack still covers all the main religions and themes you would expect in a primary RE curriculum

Each of our Curriculum Packs is included at no further cost within our Whole School Membership, or available to purchase individually.

Our Science Curriculum Pack provides a complete solution for your primary Science curriculum. It contains 30 schemes of work (5 per year group from Year 1 to Year 6) and completely covers the National Curriculum objectives for Science for KS1 and KS2.

There is built-in knowledge and skills progression (as documented in the free overview) and plenty of opportunities throughout each scheme for children to both increase their understanding of the scientific world around them and develop their 'working scientifically' skills.

With five schemes of work provided for each year group, there is one half term left free either for consolidation, revision or learning that goes beyond the curriculum. We have several other Science schemes of work outside of our Curriculum Pack linked to themes and topics, such as 'Great British Scientists' or 'Viking Science'.
